Not Your Average Skate Shop
Cute But Loud is a space dedicated to inclusion and accessibility. Started in 2024 by Becca Flowers (she/her). A single mom, caring for her disabled kiddos and our two cats, Coco and Marshmallow. You guessed it, they are the super cuddly Yin and Yang in our lives. This business has been daydreamed about since I was in the seventh grade. All the cool “guy” skaters had oversized skate shirts, shoulder length hair, and really awesome baggy pants. I loved it, and I wanted to be a part of it. But the Summer I got curvy, my shirts didn’t hang flat anymore. My mom convinced me that skate apparel wasn’t for my body type, and made me get a bra. But now that I’m all grown up I have zero f**ks about other people deciding how I show up in the world. I returned to my passion for the world of skateboarding. Focusing on how I and others can fit into our passions if they are inclusive and accessible. I can’t emphasize enough, “These spaces are for everyone.”

This is a space for everyone who feels excluded from these types of spaces. Spaces that are typically accessible to cis, white, men. This is for curvy humans, short people, black women, trans kids, LGBTIQ+, disabled people with assistive devices, indigenous people, people with invisible disabilities, Asian and Pacific Islanders, and to all the late bloomers. To clarify, this space is also for cis, white, men, who are allies and loud supporters for our causes. We already exist in these spaces but are not given the time or the acknowledgment that we are a part of the community. Cute But Loud is changing that with inclusive sizing, sensory friendly fabric, cropped shirts for wheelchair users, art that represents and advocates for diversity and autonomy. Specific Apparel and Merch have 100% of their profits donated to causes that are under fire, losing access to funding, and at risk communities.
